Bio Caroline Eriksson
- Music Tells A Story -
Caroline Eriksson from Trosa, Sweden holds a BA in Swedish folkmusic from The Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Caroline supplement her academic studies in order to receive teaching credentials in music at the very same school. Therefore, today she is both an educator for cultural schools and a teacher for primary schools up to and including upper secondary level.
Caroline’s previous academic endeavours includes studies at The Music Conservatory in Falun, The Eric Sahlström Institute in Tobo, The Folk Music Adult Education College in Malung and Music Art School in Nyköping.
She is performing Swedish folkmusic and worldmusic on nyckelharpa and violin in several musical constellations. Caroline is often hired as a musician at public events such as Royalties Awards and the opening of the Swedish Parliament as well as for touring abroad with concerts with her bands or solo for dance, weddings and funerals. In addition to freelancing, she teaches in elementary schools and cultural schools.
In 2008 Caroline recieved the title of riksspelman, or ”National Folk Musician” of Sweden. It is a generally recognized badge of mastery for Swedish folk musicians.
Bio Madliene Ahlström Eriksson

Madliene Ahlström Eriksson has a bachelor's degree as a musician with a focus on Swedish folk music from the Royal Academy of Music (KMH) in Stockholm. She has also studied music-, movement-, dance- and pedagogy-courses at the Stockholm Music Education Institute (SMI) in Stockholm.
Madliene has also studied at the Conservatory of Music in Falun, the Eric Sahlström Institute in Tobo, Folkhögskolan in Malung (the Jonny- and Kalle-courses) and the music high school in Nyköping.
In 2009 Madliene received the title of riksspelman, or "National Folk Musician" of Sweden.
Now she works as a music teacher at a Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool- and school. Madliene also works as a freelance musician and as a violin and key harp teacher.
Madliene comes from Trosa in Södermanland but since 2017 lives with her family just outside Hedemora, southern Dalarna, where she and her husband's children become the eighth generation on the family farm.
